Barry Finette, M.D., Ph.D., FAAP Founder and Principal Advisor

Barry Finette is a physician-scientist, entrepreneur, and global health innovator with more than three decades of experience at the intersection of translational research, clinical medicine, entrepreneurship, and health systems strengthening. He is Professor of Pediatrics, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and UVM Golisano Children's Hospital.

As the Co-Founder, CEO, and Chief Medical and Scientific Officer of ThinkMD, Dr. Finette led the development, validation, governance and deployment of a novel AI-enabled medical intelligence, clinical decision support and data insights platforms — working across 15+ countries including Kenya, Somalia, Bangladesh, Rwanda, South Africa, and Cambodia, supporting millions of patient evaluations across fragile and resource-limited health systems.

Dr. Finette founded Ascleon Global Health Consulting to bring this unique combination of scientific rigor, frontline clinical expertise, entrepreneurial experience, and operational depth to senior advisory engagements — helping organizations navigate the complex intersection of AI, clinical care, and global health.
